This year, Michelle celebrates an impressive milestone: 10 years with iPS. Over the past decade, she has grown professionally, embraced new challenges, and become an essential part of the operational support team. We spoke with Michelle about her journey, memorable achievements, and what makes iPS such a special place to work.
From Junior Assistant to Operations Support Officer
When Michelle joined iPS ten years ago, her role was focused on just two core tasks: creating CVs and uploading documents. Since then, her responsibilities have expanded significantly.
“My career at iPS has evolved from handling only a couple of tasks to managing more than 15 responsibilities across operational and recruitment support,” Michelle explains. “I progressed from a Junior Commercial Back Office Assistant to a Medior Operations Support Officer, taking on responsibilities such as travel arrangements, hotel and flight bookings, training coordination, and a variety of administrative tasks.”
This growth has allowed her to continuously develop new skills, broaden her expertise, and provide valuable support to our recruiters, professionals, and internal teams.
Witnessing Growth and Innovation
Over the years, Michelle has seen iPS transform and grow. “One of the biggest changes has been the improvement of our processes and systems,” she says. “The introduction of our new system made our work more efficient, organized, and easier to manage.”
She also highlights the evolution of the PDS system, which progressed from Microsoft Word to Excel and eventually to the online platform. Alongside these technological developments, Michelle has witnessed the company’s expansion and increasing collaboration between teams.
A Challenge Worth Remembering
Throughout her career, Michelle has been involved in many projects, but one challenge stands out above the rest. “When I was still fairly new at iPS, there were more than 500 CVs that needed to be formatted within a tight deadline,” she recalls. “Together with a Mid-Office colleague, we completed the project in just one to two weeks while maintaining accuracy and quality.” Their hard work did not go unnoticed. The team received a Golden Award for their achievement, turning a demanding project into one of Michelle’s proudest career moments.
More than just colleagues
For Michelle, the people at iPS are what make the company special. “What I enjoy most about working at iPS is building strong relationships with my colleagues,” she says.
One of her favourite memories was celebrating the company’s 35th anniversary. The event provided an opportunity to connect not only with teammates, but also with the directors and company owner in a more relaxed setting. “Spending time together outside of work was a memorable experience. It allowed us to strengthen our relationships and connect on a more personal level.”
These moments help create a supportive and positive culture where people work together as a team.
Looking ahead
As she reflects on her first decade at iPS, Michelle is grateful for the opportunities she has received.
“I’m thankful for the support and opportunities I’ve had throughout my 10 years at iPS. It has been a great journey, and I look forward to many more years of learning and growth.”
Life outside of work
Away from the office, Michelle values staying connected with her loved ones.
“Since I am working abroad, I make it a priority to call my family in the Philippines during my free time,” she shares. “Talking to them helps me relax after work, stay motivated, and maintain a strong connection with home.”
After ten years of dedication, growth, and teamwork, Michelle’s story is a wonderful example of how careers can flourish at iPS. We thank her for her contributions over the past decade and look forward to celebrating many more milestones together.
