At iPS, we believe that strong teams are built on more than expertise alone. Collaboration, trust, and understanding each other’s strengths are essential ingredients for success. That is exactly what Payroll Solutions Week 2026 was all about.
Over the course of the week, the Payroll Solutions team stepped away from their daily routines to focus on team building, industry insight, and strengthening the relationships that help them work effectively together throughout the year.
Starting with Openness and Appreciation
The week kicked off with a team meeting designed to bring everyone onto the same page. Team members shared positive feedback about one another, highlighting the qualities and strengths they value in their colleagues. They also reflected on personal areas for improvement, creating an environment of openness and vulnerability.
The discussion extended beyond individual development, focusing on how the Payroll Solutions team sees its role within iPS and how it can continue to contribute to the company’s success. By openly sharing perspectives, the team laid the groundwork for stronger communication and mutual support.
Exploring the Heart of the Maritime Industry
On Tuesday, the team took part in a Portlantis harbour tour by both bus and boat. The experience provided a unique opportunity to see the port from different perspectives, including active vessels, operational terminals, and the impressive container port facilities.
For a team that supports professionals working across the maritime and offshore sectors, gaining a deeper understanding of the environments in which clients and contractors operate brought valuable context to their daily work.
Collaboration Through Cooking
Wednesday’s activity took the team to Kookfabriek Den Haag for a collaborative cooking workshop. Working in smaller groups, team members were challenged to create a complete three-course meal, consisting of a starter, main course, and dessert. The activity encouraged creativity, teamwork, and communication in a completely different setting. After preparing the dishes together, the team sat down to enjoy the results of their hard work and collaboration.
Stepping Onboard Industry-Leading Vessels
One of the highlights of the week came on Thursday with visits to two impressive offshore vessels: Van Oord’s Offshore Installation and Jack-Up Vessel Aeolus and Cable-Laying Vessel Nexus.
During the visit to the Aeolus, the team, joined by Cheryl and Julia, received a guided tour of the vessel and enjoyed lunch onboard. Later, aboard the Nexus, they had the opportunity to speak with crew members, learn more about daily operations, and explore the vessel’s cable carousel system.
Experiences like these help connect the Payroll Solutions team even more closely to the industries and professionals they support every day.
Building a Stronger Team for the Future
While the activities throughout the week offered plenty of memorable experiences, the main objective remained clear: strengthening camaraderie within the team. Because team members often work on different projects with limited day-to-day overlap, opportunities for collaboration and shared problem-solving can be rare. Payroll Solutions Week was intentionally designed to bring people together, celebrate individual strengths, and create stronger personal and professional connections. By sharing new experiences, exchanging knowledge, and engaging in honest conversations, the team worked towards building a culture founded on trust, confidence, and cooperation.
As Payroll Solutions Week 2026 demonstrated, investing in relationships is just as important as investing in skills. With a stronger foundation of mutual understanding and support, the team is well positioned to continue delivering excellent service to colleagues, clients, and professionals around the world.
